Day 1

Nairobi, Kenya.  Overnight at the Fairmont Norfolk Hotel.

Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met, greeted, and transferred to the historic and luxurious Fairmont Norfolk Hotel for an overnight stay before heading into the African bush for your safari.

Days 2 through 4

Private Charter Flight from Nairobi to Samburu.  Three (3) nights at the Samburu Ashnil Tented Camp.

Kenya Featured Highlights:

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for our morning private-chartered bush flight north to Samburu. Samburu is located high above the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in the Buffalo Springs Game Reserve — which takes its name from an oasis of crystal clear water at the western edge of the reserve. During our stay in Samburu, early morning and late afternoon game drives will be offered for our private group with our own all-terrain vehicles and drivers. Samburu is renowned for its unique diversity of animals — such as Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Grevy Zebra, Cheetah, and Lions. Samburu is also the only location in Kenya where you will encounter Gerenuk.

There are a total of twenty four deluxe en-suite tents at the Samburu Ashnil. Each en-suite tent offers a perfect view of the Ewaso Nyiro River and its beautiful surrounding landscape. Every spacious tent consists of a dressing area, sitting area, luggage rack and en-suite facilities to provide a memorable and comfortable stay close to nature. Each day, the delightful Samburu Ashnil staff will take great pride in preparing and serving you a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Lodge.

Days 5 through 7

Private Charter Flight from Samburu to Masai Mara.  Three (3) nights at the Mara Ashnil Tented Camp.

KenyaFeatured Highlights:

After breakfast, you will depart Samburu for the Masai Mara via a private-chartered bush flight. Frequently referred to as the "the jewel" of Kenya's national parks, the world famous Masai Mara is teaming with animals and birds. Straddling the Serengeti to its south, the Masai Mara is absolutely breathtaking with its rolling grasslands and acacia savannah. Its topography has been captured time and time again in Hollywood movies like Out Of Africa.

Sitting on 25 million year old pre-historic land, the Mara Ashnil Tented Camp hosts 30 luxury tents adjacent to the Mara River. During our stay at the Mara Ashnil, early morning and late afternoon game drives will be offered for our private group with our own all-terrain vehicles and drivers. The Masai Mara is home to all of the the "Big Five" (Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard and Rhino) as well as over 450 bird species. It is most famous for the spectacular annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from Tanzania crossing the Mara River into Kenya in search of fresh feeding grounds — which typically begins in July and lasts through September.

Like their counterparts in Samburu, the Mara Ashnil staff will be waiting to pamper you daily with wonderful breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

Days 8
and 9

Cross over the Mara River by Land Cruiser.  Two (2) nights at the Mara Serena Lodge.

Kenya Featured Highlights:

After an early morning breakfast, you will cross the Mara River towards the Mara Serena Lodge with a game drive and stops en-route as opportunities arise. The Mara Serena is conveniently located at the center of the famous "Mara Triangle" and will provide you with a ringside seat for one of the "greatest wildlife shows on earth."

The Lodge itself is set high on a bush-cloaked hill with sweeping views over the East African savannah and down the winding bends of the hippo-filled Mara River. The Mara Serena staff will undoubtedly be awaiting your arrival with its gracious Kenyan hospitality and world renowned cuisine. Styled to echo the circular motif of a traditional Masai manyatta, the Mara Serena blends international sophistication with raw African beauty.

Day 10

Private Charter Flight from Masai Mara to Nairobi.  Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.  End of Services.

You will have an early morning game drive with a picnic breakfast in the African savannah. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure followed by lunch before being transferred to Mara Serena's private airstrip for your afternoon bush flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met, greeted, and transferred to the luxurious Panari Hotel for a farewell dinner with your guides followed by a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to connect with your outbound international flight.
